Troubleshooting Motor and Drives

This course will help you better evaluate and troubleshoot three categories of common motor/drive issues: erratic, repeating, and preventable faults and failures. Constantly troubleshooting the same or similar motor and drive problems can not only be a headache, it can severely impact up-time and the cost of doing business. That's why, at Fluke Corporation, we've developed an online training course designed to help maintenance professionals better understand the electrical, electronic and mechanical aspects of motor-drive system health.

In this online course you will learn:
- Motor-drive inspection and diagnosis skills for quick repairs
- How to evaluate component failure, installation issues, and deeper system level issues
- How to identify the root cause of failures

This course is designed for maintenance professionals who have a working understanding of motor drive systems and who want to learn how to better identify, diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic and mechanical issues.

Participants taking the entire course will benefit the most if they also have a working understanding of electrical theory and mechanical maintenance principles. *The Motor and Drive Troubleshooting course introduction includes references to basic electrical theory, explanations, and other supporting resources or content contained in the free Fluke Electrical Measurement Safety online course. It is our recommendation that you start by completing the Electrical Measurement Safety course. A passing score is recommended, but not required to continue into this course.
